Apollo 1 Sterling Silver Medallion. 1.25 in. in diameter, circular, with the image of an Apollo Command Module orbiting the earth. The names of White, Grissom, Chaffee, and Apollo 1 are on the reverse side. The medallion was planned to be carried by Gus Grissom on the Apollo 1 flight until the spacecraft fire at the launch pad that occurred on January 27, 1967.
