FLOWN Apollo XII Lunar Module Interim Stowage Strap with embedded Lunar Dust. Brown teflon with two snaps and two velcro attachments, approx. 10 in. long, 1 in. wide, part number SEB 33100015-302 with serial number 1150. Displayed in an approx. 11 x 12 in. metal frame containing the strap with a manuscript card by Conrad. Both removable from mat and frame. FLOWN TO THE LUNAR SURFACE WITH CHARLES CONRAD. Lunar dust-coated crew space suits and other equipment that was returned inside to the lunar module. Handling and stowing equipment after two lunar surface excursions spread dust on to many items inside the LM. The white beta tag of this strap shows the darkened gray areas where the dust was embedded into the fibers. Manuscript card by Conrad describes use while on the moon: "...was flown to the lunar surface aboard Lunar Module Intrepid, ...has been in my personal collection since I returned from the Moon".
