Naked and leaning against a rock, flowers in her hand and across her modesty, the infant child at her feet, on a circular naturalistically-carved base inscribed Bertoni; on a green, cream and gilt-painted wooden pedestal, the circular top above the fluted column, with three shaped channelled supports joined by laurel swags, on triform base

The pedestal: 39 in. (99 cm.) high
Lot Essay
Born in Varese, Flaminio Bertoni exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and the Indépendants between 1935 and 1938.
