A well detailed and presented fully planked and rigged display model of a New Bedford whaler
with collapsible mast, rigging and stitched linen sails with rope bindings, harpoons, rope coils and tubs, anchor, water barrels, buckets, paddles, five oars, steering oar, tiller, rudder, compass and other details. The carved planked hull is fully framed with bottom boards, thwarts, samson post, centre board and other details and finished in white, blue and grey and mounted on two turned brass columns -- 17½ x 21½in.
