A well detailed and presented display model of the American auxiliary fishing schooner Benjamin W. Latham
with masts, booms, standing and running rigging, full suit of stitched linen sails, anchors, anchor davits, winch, belaying rails, pins and bitts, companionways, stove pipe, hatches, cleats, horses, deck house, deck lights, gratings, water barrels, two dories in lashings and many other details. The hull, finished in dark brown and black and varnish, with 'gold' decoration, is fitted with two shafts with three-blade propellers and rudder and mounted on two turned brass columns, display base -- 43 x 49in. (109.2 x 124.5cm.)
