A LOUIS XVI GOLD-MOUNTED COMPOSITION BONBONNIERE SET WITH A MINIATURE
Paris, 1775/1776, with the charge and discharge marks of Jean-Baptiste Fouache, maker's mark rubbed, the mounts struck with the discharge mark for very small items of Jean-François Kalendrin, the miniature by Dewime, circa 1780, bearing signature 'Hall'
Circular dark composition box, the independent cover later inset with a circular miniature under glass painted with a young lady dressed up as Diana the Huntress seated in a landscape and attaching the collar of her hound, within a stamped gold mount, the gold mounts of cover and base stamped with a ribbon-twist border
