A Swiss enamelled, gold, and gem-set vinaigrette
Geneva, circa 1840, unmarked
Cushion-shaped with serpentine sides, the cover enamelled with a scene of Lake Geneva over radiating engine-turning, with a border of pale blue enamel with blue, white and orange stylised flowers, each corner set with emeralds and pink sapphires, the reverse with central enamelled panel of flowers and similar borders and gem-set corners, the grille with rosettes and scrolling foliage
