An unusual 5in. gauge model of a Bavarian 2-4-0 Tank Locomotive No. 1 'Jos. Horauf'
with welded steel boiler with three fire tubes and fittings including water gauge (incorrect glass fitted), pressure gauge, level test cocks, whistle, safety and clack valves and washout plug. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with straight link valve gear, footplate controlled drain cocks, valve chest pressure relief valves, footplate controlled damper, battery operated lamps, opening cab windows, steps, hand and lamp irons and other details. Finished in green with red lining, red, black and polished and plated brightwork, with brass plates engraved 'J. Horauf Augsberg No.1.D.XIV 1906-1917' and 1Fabrik. d. Kessels J. Horauf' -- 14½ x 27½in. (36.8 x 69.8cm.). Firing shovel.
