Thanks to his twenty-year design contributions for Studebaker, Raymond Loewy is considered by many to be the founder of modern automotive design. The 1947 Studebaker Champion, the 1953 Studebaker Starline Coupe and the 1962 Studebaker Avanti are a few examples of the impact Loewy had on the history of vehicle evolution
