The circular white enamelled dial with Arabic and Roman chapter rings signed Pichon à Paria and with pierced strapwork ormolu hands within an engine-turned bezel, the step-molded plinth-form case with ribbon-tied berried wreath spandrels and an Apollo's mask issuing anthemion and acanthus below on a patinated bronze backing, the case surmounted by a cockerel standing on books with one foot upon a globe
