1720-1735, painted in the manner of Johann Gottfried Mehlhorn
Painted in iron-red after Reidinger with hunt scenes supported on gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk brackets, one with a huntsman holding back his mastiff as three hounds take down a charging bull, the other with hounds bringing down a stag, gilt rim and footrim, the interior with a similar scene of a single hound beside a tree baying at an injured stag supported on a foliate scroll bracket, gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk band around the rim
6 3/8in. (16.2cm.) diam.
