Circa 1750, blue crossed swords mark at the back
Depicting Summer with Autumn and Winter with Spring on a rocaille moulded bases enriched in gilt; Summer with a sheaf of wheat, modelled as a frolicking Bacchic putto, holding a bird in her left hand; Autumn entwined with grapes and feeding them to a goat; Winter wrapped in an urban-lined puce cape and warming his hands over a flaming branch; Spring draped in a yellow-lined flowered cloth with a basket of flowers on its knee
