A Bow sweetmeat dish
modelled as figure of a man in Oriental dress, wearing a colourful plumed turban, a long pale-pink coat and pale-blue trousers, holding an upturned shell, the interior painted with a vignette of exotic birds, the rim enriched in puce, above three further upturned shells, each painted with bouquets of flowers, on a coral-moulded base applied with shells, circa 1760 (some damages, restoration and replacement) -- 23.5cm. high
