A Meissen teabowl and saucer
the teabowl painted with harbour scenes with figures unloaded ships before distant ships within two brown, black and gilt-line cartouches, the interior painted in puce with figures on boats before the harbour, within a roundel, the saucer painted with figures before a harbour, beneath gilt scroll rim, blue crossed swords and gilder's 43., circa 1745 (rim of teabowl with small chip, rubbing to gilding)
