Founded in 1626, this famous family-owned domaine has the reputation for producing two of Alsace's finest Rieslings, Clos Sainte Hune and Cuvée Fréderic Emile. Clos Sainte Hune is a 1.3 hectare site within the Grand Cru Rosacker. Only 700 cases are produced each vintage and it is renowned for its concentration, finesse and longevity. The Fredéric Emile has been described as possibly the second greatest Alsatian Riesling after Clos Sainte Hune. The wine comes from the Grand cru Osterberg and is regarded as a classic example of Riesling. The domaine also makes a fine Gewurztraminer (Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre) and Pinot Gris.
