Antonio Jacobsen painted seven images of Kanawha between 1900 and 1905. These seven are comprised of three are sketches and four oils; two of the oils are known to have been completed in 1902. Of these, the first was formerly in the Collection of the New-York Historical Society; the second is offered here.
