The square panel depicting a bust of the goddess Artemis, holding a fiery torch in her right hand, with a laurel wreath and a band in her wild curling locks, her bow slung over her left shoulder, looking off to her right, within a square border, portions of the neighboring panels visible on each side, the face and body of the goddess rendered with very small tesserae enabling much more detail in the image
