The circular boss with three chains suspending the main turned baluster-shaped body, the upper section mounted with rococo scrolls, above a frieze issuing three scrolled branches with pierced drip-pans, with leaf-wrapped and gadrooned underside tapering to a leaf-wrapped bud finial, stamped 'MESSENGER' to the interior, fitted for electricity, with three later glass shades, originally with additional plaques below the hanging branches, adapted
