Both shown standing, the lady wearing a crinoline and wide brimmed hat adorned with a feather, the gentleman in 16th century costume, wearing a fur trimmed jerkin and slouch cap, on ebonised socles with conforming mounts (parts lacking)
The ivories, excluding socles -- 5½in. (14cm) high; the socles -- 3¼in. (8.3cm) and 2 7/8in. (7.3cm) high (part lacking) (2)
