The top rail with mask amidst pierced scrolling foliage, the conforming pierced sectioned back with three oval medallions, the central panel of a sleeping maiden and cupid, above a wooden slatted seat and scrolling side arms, the legs on hoof feet, stamped at the front seat rail C-B-DALE CO, the reverse with diamond design patent registration stamp, cresting restored

This design was registered and patented by the Coalbrookdale Foundry at the Public record Office, and is seat number 42 in their 1875 Castings Catalogue, Section III, page 259.
