Sale room notice
Please note that we are grateful to Dr Timothy Barringer for identifying the correct title as Early Morning on the Tamar, and not as stated in the catalogue. This painting was exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists in 1872, no. 11 and sold for £200 on 2nd August 1872 to Mr Fothergill of Glamorganshire.

We are grateful to Mr Lewis Eynon for suggesting the location of the present work is probably Dung Quay at Cotehele on the Tamar.
