A Charles II silver tankard
London, 1681, mark IC mullet beneath
Tapering cylindrical and on moulded rim foot, the lower part on the body chased with a band of acanthus foliage, the scroll handle applied with rib, the slightly domed cover and lion sejant thumbpiece, the cover chased with an acanthus band, the body later engraved with a coat-of-arms, the handle terminal with the initials JG, marked on body, cover and handle
