A Continental silver-plated and mahogany meat trolley
circa 1900
The stand with four turned and fluted legs on casters, with paterae and four curved, fluted and knopped handles above, the oval roll-top cover with acanthus handle and moulded borders, the side hinges with paterae bosses, the interior fitted with a two-handled tray with two gravy wells and single detachable liner with two alternative oval dishes, with later aluminium warming tray, a burner fixture beneath, the cabinet below with two doors and further plated compartment above, an inscribed oval plaque to two sides.
