A Famille-rose erotic subject porcelain snuff bottle
19th Century
of flattened purse shape, painted with groups of nude males and females dancing and in various amorous embraces in interior scenes, the narrow sides with underglaze blue and gilt floral design, green glass stopper -- 2 5/8in. (6.6cm.) high; and another famille-rose moulded porcelain bottle, of rounded shape with short neck, painted with peacocks beneath flowering branches, the reverse with doves beneath bamboo branches, iron-red key-fret design to the foot rim, the narrow sides with moulded squid handles, coral and metal stopper -- 2¾in. (7cm.) high, (minor chips).
