A Canton enamel turquoise ground ewer and basin
Circa 1800
of baluster form with flaring neck and a simulated bamboo handle, decorated with a central panel of two figures beside a horse among rockwork below cloud scrolls within a ground decorated with flowering and leafy sprays -- 10¼in. (26cm.) high; the basin with a central panel with two officials with fans and an attendant in a fenced garden before a lady on a balcony, painted with stylised dragons to the exterior -- 15in. (38cm.) diam, (damages).
