A famille rose and underglaze blue and white circular tureen, domed cover and stand
18th century
with moulded flowerspray finial and shaped handles, the tureen moulded with ribbed vertical bands, the stand with shaped rim, painted and gilt with scenes of retreats set amongst pine and blossoming trees in rocky river landscapes, within borders of lotus sprays, scrolling foliage and hatch pattern -- the stand 13 1/8in. (33.2cms) diam.
