A Chinese export armorial dish
Qianlong (1736-95)
painted in iron red, some coloured enamels and gilt with a central crest bearing a galloping horse amongst scrolling foliage, surmounted by a rearing horse, the rim with four horse cartouches within borders of spearhead and fruiting vine -- 9in. (2.8cms) diam, (hairline rim crack).
