A mahogany, ebonised, parcel gilt and polychrome painted serpentine commode, 1st half of 20th century
in the Adam style, the moulded eared top above two cockbeaded doors decorated with a ribbon mounted drop bell oval centred by a Classical lamp flanked by ram's heads hung with swags (one corner damaged) enclosing two cupboard drawers flanked at either side by ram's head mounted stiles on acanthus and hoof-carved feet joined by shaped aprons, some losses to veneer, door hinge damaged -- 38½in. (98cm.) wide, 34½in. (87.5cm.) high, 20½in. (52cm.) deep
