'At a certain point, Yves Klein and I had divided the world between the two of us like Empire Barons. He had told me : 'I will take the organic side of things and you can take the manufactured one'. (Arman in Exh. cat., Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum, Arman: 33 accumulations, 1969, n.p.).

The present work is part of a series Arman executed between 1967 and 1969 in collaboration with the Régie Renault. He realised in total 70 works from material and various car elements given to him by the famous car producer.
