embroidered in silks with phoenixes amongst lotus flowers, peonies and finger citrus and embellished with clear and coloured glass beads, trimmed with borders of black satin embroidered with birds, fruit and flowers, with sleevebands of ivory satin, similarly worked, circa 1900, possibly Straits Chinese, (alterations to sleeves, borders re-applied); and an informal robe of black satin, embroidered with an ornamental landscape, early 20th century
