The rectangular case flanked by a classical female figure with book and wreath, on plinth applied with a relief mount depicting amorini with a dolphin, on scroll and stylised acanthus cast feet, the silvered Roman chapter ring with engine-turned centre, blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell, suspension adapted -- 21½in. (52cm.) high
