A Louis Philippe ebonised rosewood and brass-mounted striking mantel clock, circa 1840
The case with handle and movement viewing aperture to the top, glazed side panels, solid rear door and sliding front glass, the white enamel Roman dial (restored signed POTONIÉ PARIS 4570, blued steel moon hands, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell, with repeat signature to the backplate -- 11in. (28cm.) high
