A Meissen figure of a Vinegar-seller from the Cris de Paris series
Circa 1756, blue crossed swords at back
Modelled by J.J. Kändler and P. Reinicke, in pink cap, purple-grey jacket, turquoise apron, yellow breeches and black shoes, wheeling a barrow with a cask of vinegar with a funnel and jug at the side supported by a tree-stump on a gilt scroll-moulded oval base applied with flowers (his right hand and handle of barrow restored, some restoration to front and wheel of barrow, chip to his hair and tail of jacket, button on his left cuff lacking, slight chipping to flowers)
