A Chinese ivory twin-handled vase
20th Century
with a tiered pagoda upper section, each tier continuously carved with a pierced and geometric patterned fence before panels of Buddha seated in dhyanasana, the top with a double gourd shaped finial above shaped roofs with hanging lanterns, the vase carved with two panels of boys at leisure in garden scenes below geometric bands, flanked by twin scroll handles, raised on four lion mask and claw feet -- 18¼in. (46.3cm.) high, (damages).
