Two Large Bone Powder-Flasks
Italian, late 18th/early 19th Century
Each formed from the shoulder-blade of an ox, with engraved bottle-shaped main section decorated with a differing scene of the chase in 17th-century style, the main edges bound with woven textiles and an iron band, the bottom edge with a band of cord tassels, iron nozzle (one loose), one with woollen pom-pom (worn) at its base, and woven textile shoulder-strap (iron parts pitted, minor damage to bone, some wear throughout)
