SIR CEDRIC HARDWICKE THRONE FROM "THE TEN COMMANDMENTS"
Paramount, 1956
An elaborate chair used as the throne where Sethi, as portrayed by Sir Cedric Hardwicke, sits in a number of key scenes. Made of wood, this ornately designed piece has arms carved to resemble eagle wings and a front panel displaying ankhs and other Egyptian-like motifs. The original upholstery is still intact though is in poor condition as is the rest of the chair; most of the original decorative paint is gone and the wood is aged, splintered and cracked. However, it is still immediately recognizible as Sethi's throne and is accompanied by the small matching footstool that he used though that also is in a state of disrepair.
