A Meissen dark-blue-ground teapot and cover
ogee-sided, with flowerhead finial and entwined scroll handle, painted with ducks and ducklings on a pond within a shaped cartouche gilt with flowers and scrolling foliage, the reverse with chickens and hens within a similar cartouche, reserved on a caillouté ground, blue crossed swords and dot mark, painter's and incised marks, circa 1765 (small chips to finial, light rubbing to gilding) -- 8cm. high
