The receiver-ring stamped 'Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf A/N' and dated '1900', fine blued finish, chequered bolt handle, stock with semi-pistolgrip, sling-eyes, barrel with block-mounted open-sights and ramp-mounted bead-foresight with detachable protector, the receiver mounted with a Swarovski 'Habicht Nova' 4x32 telescopic-sight in quickly-detachable mounts, the telescope with provision for the simultaneous use of the open-sights
