This lot is accompanied by a document issued by the Lord High Admiral and dated September 15, 1810, appointing John Nash as Captain of His Majesty's Ship the 'Revenge'. The document has both a raised paper seal as well as an embossed metal seal, 10½ x 12½in. (26.7 x 31.7cm.).
