A Yongzheng cup of this size and shape decorated in a rich ruby glaze was included in the Exhibition of Important Chinese Ceramics from the Robert Chang Collection, Christie's London, 1993, Catalogue, no. 40, where it is noted that one of the outstanding achievements of the potters at the Imperial kilns during this period was the introduction of new kinds of glaze colours, incorporating new technology and new minerals
