Deeply carved on both sides of the flattened body with medallions enclosing a scholar seated on a kang with his students studying books and an attendant serving tea, reserved on a lotus scroll, ground with bats below the trumpet neck decorated with stylized plantain leaves flanked with a pair of 'C'-scroll handles suspending loose rings-- 6in. (15.2cm.) high
