cover 1897 (20 Aug.) commercial envelope registered to U.S.A.,.bearing 2c. (5) and 10c. tied by type C c.d.s. and a fine strike of "R" in circle in black alongside, the reverse with a fine Amoy c.d.s.; as there is no Hong Kong marking it appears that this letter was put on a boat in Amoy, scarce thus.
