Raised on a high, flared foot with high, upturned saucer and rounded bowl support, decorated on the outer surfaces with paulownia and peonies in gold and silver foil, hiramaki-e and togidashi on a ground of dense nashiji, the inner surfaces of the bowl support and the tall foot roiro and nashiji; accompanied by a stoneware tea bowl with temmoku-style glaze and metal rim, probably Seto ware, Edo period--bowl 5in.
