The three-paneled top of gold-flecked zitan enclosed by a frame with 'water-stopping' molding and inlaid with bamboo strips on the edges and sides, the convex waist inlaid with rectangles of reddish-blond bamboo, the openwork apron of squared scrolls with conforming inlay at the edges joining the attenuated legs inlaid with vertical bamboo strips on the outer sides and corners, set upon square scroll feet joined by plain stretchers, the reddish-blond inlay forming a pleasing contrast with the darker purplish hue
