A CARVED DINGYAO LOBED DISH
SONG DYNASTY

The shallow rounded sides rising to a rim of hexafoil outline, supported on a thin, cylindrical foot ring, freely carved in the interior with a central roundel of a lotus spray below lightly molded flutes in the well, covered inside and out with a glaze of pale ivory tone pooling to pale olive on the reverse, with copper-bound rim
7 7/8in. (21cm.) diam.
