marked Fabergé, workmaster Michael Perchin, St. Petersburg, circa 1890, with scratched inventory number 55668
Rectangular with rounded corners, the nephrite sides with hinged gold mounts, one with red guilloché enamel band to three sides and with diamond pushpiece, marked inside mounts, in original velvet and silk-lined wooden box, inside the cover is pasted a printed Christmas and New Year card inscribed by hand 'from The Prince & Princess of Wales'
