Maker's mark of Ellis Jacob Greenberg, London, 1912
Shaped rectangular with bowed sides and canted corners on four bun feet, the ground engraved with vacant shield form cartouche enclosed by ribbon-tied husk surround with lush paired foliate scrolls between, the far ground and border with bright-cut patra and running foliate band, the border also with foliate bright-cut corners, the ends with two cut-outs for handles with applied reeded rim--length over handles 26¼in. (66.7cm.), 145oz.
