(6 15/16 x 5 1/8 in.), contemporary sheep, covers panelled in blind with double fillets, double vertical fillets parallel to joints, smooth spine blind-ruled in compartments, edges sprinkled red, small unobtrusive restorations to lower cover and spine, offsetting of turn-ins to free endpapers (frayed), a1 border rule shaved, fols. T4, and Ss3-4 each with a 1-inch tear entering text block, corners of T4 and Ff1 torn away, catching border rule of T4 and a letter of Ff1, occasional foxing, a few minor small stains. FIRST EDITION, Amory's issue no. 3 (the traditional fifth title), woodcut initials, typographical title and head-piece title ornaments.
