Carved as a group of three figures illustrating a scene from nijushiko "Twenty four paragons of filial piety" where Kakkyo [Kuo Ko] discovers a pot of gold while digging a grave for his infant son, intending to sacrifice the child to provide for the mother, etched and stained details, signed in an oval reserve on the reverse below the himotoshi--2in. (5cm.) high
