'Traveller in the moonlight' is one of two great landscapes designed by Eisen in the kakemono-e format. The other is 'Mountain in snow' (Sekkei sansui). Another impression in the Matsukata Collection, in the Tokyo National Museum, is a registered Important Art Object.
